FAQ
How Much Does It Cost? - Now your probably asking yourself "Can I afford this?!?" The answer is YES! The initial appointment typically runs $400.00 including hair to $450.00 including hair. Depending on the length of hair you want. That includes: - Applying the hair - The extension hair I prefer to provide the extension hair for my clients. As I talked about earlier, there is a lot of bad hair out there! I have the knowledge and experience to pick the best hair suitable for you. - Removal - Haircut Some people have called and told me they were quoted from other hair stylists that their prices were anywhere from $700 to $1500.00. They wondered why I was so affordable. The answer is, I'm very fast at what I do. This is what I specialize in. So I do typically 2 to 6 extensions every work day. I feel like I can charge less because it doesn't take me as long to apply them as it might for others. I really don't think you have to break the bank to get your hair done.
How Long Does It Last? That really depends on you...it's hard to put a timeline on that because everyone's hair grows at different rates. Also, gravity does it's job and you will have some slipping due to that. Typically, most people come to see me about once every 6 to 8 weeks for a tightening. At that time, as long as you have taken good care of your hair and it's reusable, I will tighten your hair. That will cost $125.00 every appointment. When you are ready to replace your extension hair, you will need to add an additional $150-$200.00 depending on the length of hair you need to buy.
How Many Times Can I Reuse The Hair? Typically 2-3 times. As long as YOU care for it properly. I will help you as much as I can.
Does It Hurt? No. It feels strange to have something sewn to your hair the first night, but soon it just becomes a part of you. You will soon forget its there! Compared to cornrows, it's a breeze.
Can You Wash And Style The Hair The Same As Your Own? YES! You will just want to shampoo a little more gently. I will instruct you on how. You can style it just like its your own! Actually, I think it holds a curl even better than on some peoples natural hair. You can flat iron it, curl it, hot roller it, rag roll it, 3-barrel curling iron it
the possibilities are endless!
Will It Damage My Own Natural Hair? The technique itself does not. However, it is the responsibility of the client to take care of it properly to ensure that nothing bad will happen to their own natural hair. Hair extensions have a bad reputation because of bad techniques, bad hair stylists and people not taking care of their own hair. So people blame the extensions, when in reality, its not the extensions its the other people. People make stupid choices and that can damage the hair-not the extensions. So if you dont get your hair caught in a vacuum cleaner (Yes in a vacuum cleaner) or get into a bar fight or something crazy like that. (Like many of my clients have done) Your hair will be fine.
